Grand Prairie is a city that takes parts of Dallas, Ellis and Tarrant Counties in the state of Texas. It is a part of the Mid-Cities region in the DFW metroplex and is located right in the middle of Dallas and Fort Worth. It is often considered as one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. It is the 16th largest city in Texas.

Grand Prairie is well known for its parks and has 4,900 acres devoted to parks. This certainly makes education one of the most important industries to the city’s economy and the Grand Prairie Independent School District is the largest school district with 58-square-miles that house 36 campuses, 23 elementary schools, 7 middle schools, 2 ninth grade centers, 2 high schools and 2 alternative education schools.

Healthcare is another important industry in the area and there are over 65 hospitals in the metroplex. Grand Prairie is also growing as a hot tourist spot thanks to many theme parks, fun houses, golf courses as well as the 7,500-acre Joe Pool Lake.
