Corpus Christi Jobs

Corpus Christi is a coastal city in South Texas. It is part of Nueces County, though it extenders into a few other countries including Aransas, Kleberg, and San Patricio. It is considered the eighth-largest city in Texas and 64th largest in the U.S.

The economy of Corpus Christi is diverse and is primarily controlled by the services, wholesale and retail Trade. Many citizens are also employed in government sectors. Because of the Port of Corpus Christi (the sixth largest in the U.S.) the city is very important to the oil and agricultural industry. Other vital industries include tourism and military services.

The largest employer is the U.S. military, including the Corpus Christi Army Depot and Naval Air Station. The city also provides headquarters to the Whataburger fast food chain. Other large employers include the Corpus Christi Independent School District, Spohn Health System, Stripes Convenience Stores and the H.E.B. Grocery Company.
