Web Content Producer

Job Location: Seattle, WA

Job Responsibilities and Requirements: This position reports to the Associate Director of Web Communications and will collaborate with editors, designers, developers, Marketing managers and others in the execution of online projects relating to the reputation building and priorities of the university. Additionally, the person in this role will perform the following key duties: Produce, update and maintain content and consult on user experience for websites, pages and online projects for University Marketing, External Affairs and others as directed for the benefit of the public and university community. Enhance data collection methods by setting up campaigns, event tracking and conversion tracking. Set up and maintain automated and manual report generation via Google Analytics. Watch daily usage and keep track of visitor trends. Provide consultation and guidance on Search Engine Optimization techniques and identify ways to surface content based on visitor searches. Embrace the latest accessibility standards and work with DO-IT to ensure site content is widely accessible. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor s degree and at least three to four years Web experience. Excellent grammar and demonstrated skills for Writing for the Web. Proven experience in multimedia Production and best practices, including proficiency in using a variety of players/dissemination solutions and a good understanding of accessibility and usability. Proficient with HTML, Photoshop or a similar program and a content-management system and/or Web-editing program. Familiarity with XHTML, HTML5, CSS, PHP and Flash a plus. Proficient with Google Analytics and/or other analytics software. Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including communicating effectively with stakeholders about priorities and deliverables. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects at once and work under tight deadlines. Strong understanding of and experience in usability, Web metrics, Search Engine Optimization and accessibility.
