Administrative Assistant

Job Location: New Orleans, Louisiana

Job Responsibilities and Requirements: These duties include: entry into spreadsheets, typing, filing, composing correspondence, responding to email messages, handling meeting arrangements, preparing payment for external vendor invoices, typing minutes from meetings, tracking and collating department metrics, internal and external mail Distribution, answering multi-line telephone, and routing messages accurately and in a timely manner. The Administrative Assistant also prepares documents and handles information of highly sensitive Nature. Demonstrates actions consistent with Ochsner Health System's Service Principles as duties are performed on a daily basis. High School graduate or equivalent and minimum five years business experience at an Administrative Secretary level required, Bachelor's Degree preferred. Successful completion of business school or college courses related to Clerical skills preferred; typing/word processing 70 wpm; knowledge of various computer programs to include Excel, WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Power Point, etc. Strong professional and interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers on all levels, both orally and in Writing. B. Other Qualifications:- Self Directed and able to accomplish responsibilities with little supervision Ability to exercise good judgment in handling difficult situations- Possess basic analytical, spreadsheet and keyboard skills- Excellent oral, written and organizational skills to coordinate the Administrative details of multiple activities.
