Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Primary assignments/ areas of responsibility are Transcription/order entry, patient support services, patient admission and discharge,. Transcription/order entry includes: transcribes patient care orders and tests in an accurate and timely manner using various computer systems; communicates STAT orders, discharge orders, test scheduling changes, etc. to department Staff; schedules patient appointments; monitors, audits and compiles department data, and the review and entry of patient charges. Position is PT Benefited/.3 FTE (24 hours per 2 week pay period). Basic Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum Qualifications: Must have minimum one (1) year recent secretarial experience in acute care setting and Medical terminology. Basic computer skills. Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English. Must be able to demonstrate position-required behaviors in fulfillment of the organization's mission. Preferred Qualifications: Prefer minimum 2 years recent secretarial experience in acute care setting and Medical terminology. Acute care or ED experience as unit Clerk or Administrative partner preferred.
