RN - Dialysis (Experienced)

We are seeking a highly qualified Dialysis RN...

To initiate, monitor, and discontinue hemodialysis treatments.

To observe universal precautions
and policy and procedures as set forth.

To implement the physicians orders accurately
and efficiently.

To perform assessments of patient before dialysis treatment.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Initiate, monitor and terminate patient's dialysis treatment.
- Monitor patients and equipment alarms during treatment.
- Inform charge nurse of change in patient status.
- Skillful performance of venipuncture.
- Transcribe and implement physician's orders.
- Documents appropriate information in the medical record per Federal, State, and Facility
requirements.
- Assist in the training of new staff members.
- Participate in staff meetings and in-service programs.
- Administer blood and blood products and be knowledgeable of what to do in the event of
a reaction.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Practice and teach aseptic techniques to patients and other staff members.
- Identify and treat Intradialytic morbidities.
- Appropriate and responsible performance in the event of a patient or facility emergency.
- Practice within boundaries established by state law.

Our ideal candidate must posess an Associates Degree in Nursing obtained from an Accredited School of Nursing along with a minimum of 1 year's current Dialysis experience.
