Websphere Portal Architects/Java Developers

These positions require the flexibility to travel throughout the Eastern US and Toronto region to accommodate client needs.

REQUIREMENTS for Technical Architect


* At least 3 years direct hands-on experience in IBM Lotus/WebSphere Portal version 5.1 thru 6.1+

* At least 4 years experience with Portal products use in total (it is OK if this is with “Non-WebSphere” Portal products such as BEA's Aqualogic, SAP Portal, and Microsoft's Sharepoint Portal Server). 4 years of WebSphere Portal is ideal, but at least 3 years is required.

* At least 5 years experience in web-related development efforts using Java, J2EE, or related development techniques: (AJAX, JAVASCRIPT, JSP, JSF, STRUTS)

* At least 3 years IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) experience

* At least 5 years general Information Technology roles experiences with good progression

* At least 2 years working in consulting, with at least 1 year in a team leadership role in a consulting engagement.

* Experience in the use of Security integration - identity management, authentication, authorization, access control. Tivoli preferred.

* Experience in the use of Personalization - unique, configurable WebSphere Portal experience for each individual user

* User experience and User Interface visual design awareness

* Iterative design & development methodology principles, ideally some exposure to Rational Unified Process (RUP) methodology

* Must have demonstrated experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting portlets (Preferably JSR 168), and Lotus / WebSphere Portal-based solutions, and be able to describe there experiences in this set of activities.

* Must have excellent client facing skills and able to communicate with customers at all levels of the organization.
