Development and execution of communications, PRand media strategy
Resonance Health has developed an MRI technology for the accurate assessment of liver iron, called FerriScan. Iron overload affects patients with hereditary haemochromatosis and patients requiring regular blood transfusions. Clinical interest in managing patients with iron overload lie predominantly with hematologists, gastroenterologists, hepatologists and radiologist. Experience with these professions would be favourably considered.
FerriScan is an FDA approved medical imaging test.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The immediate responsibilities of the VP - Marketing and Communications are to:
Lead approaches and education to key stakeholders and decision makers including initiating proposals, contract negotiation and closing deals.
Execution of media and PR promotion activities.
Develop US business development plan.
Contribute to the development of reimbursement.
In the longer term, the responsibilities for the VP – Marketing and Communications are centred on the development and execution of the US business plan.This will include:
Development of business development objectives, initiatives and budgets for profitable growth in the region.
Development and execution of the US marketing, public relations and communications strategy.
Development of strategic relationships with key opinion leaders and input into the development of marketing material.
Contribution to the achievement of medical insurance cover and reimbursement for FerriScan.
Understanding of the US industry structure, medical service providers, diagnostic imaging companies, equipment manufacturers, and complementary technology development organisations.
Management of compliance, regulatory and reimbursement matters.
Management of staff, contractors and budgets in line with resourcing plan and reporting lines as they are established and agreed.
With the broader executive group of the Company, the VP – Business Development will provide input into overall corporate strategy development.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
At least 7 years experience in marketing, sales, communications, PR and media within the healthcare industry.
PHD qualifications in a medical field preferred.
Marketing and communications training and senior level experience.
Solid understanding of the US health insurance and healthcare industry.
