Job Description

Tasks:

·         PC Configuration and Installation

·         PC troubleshooting.

·         PC repair, non-maintenance covered PCs/Servers.

·         PC and Server hardware update/upgrade.

·         PC hardware integration, identification of products to meet customers’ requirements.

·         Software Installation.

·         Software Problem Trouble shooting.

·         Software Configuration.

·         Software Integration, identification of products to meet customers’ requirements.

·         Provide technical support on software installation and configuration.

·         Identify hardware and software diagnostic tools that can reduce downtime by decreasing problem identification and resolution time.

·         Locate best/most economical source of supply for hardware/software.

·         Research technical solutions to meet customer requirements or improve customer operations and provide technical support to customer in the contracting/purchasing process.

·         LAN Administration Support

·         Quick response to all CERT announcements and directions as required.

·         RF DSS terminal/handheld network support.

·         RF network service for buildings

·         Network support

·         Cable installation and maintenance.

·         Printer maintenance.

·         Excess ADPE

·         Contact proper vendor repair personnel for warranty repairs or when proprietary repairs are required. Explain and demonstrate malfunctions to equipment vendors responding to warranty calls or proprietary contractor calls. Verify that proper repairs were made by vendors servicing warranties or making proprietary repairs.

·         Install software to systems as required.

Required Qualifications

·         MUST HAVE: DoD 8570 Tech Level

Knowledge and Skills

·         Written Certification or certifiable knowledge of Windows Server 2003, Outlook 2003/2007, Microsoft Office 2003/2007, Microsoft Exchange, Internet Information Server (IIS), Systems Management Server (SMS), WINS, DNS, all aspects of Server/Workstation/LAN Security, and Microsoft Desktop products (to include Windows XP Professional). Contractor shall keep current with software upgrades to new versions as they occur.

·         Knowledge to troubleshoot hardware and software problems related to desktop computers, print servers, and printers.

·         Qualified level of working knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP network environment and other telecommunication technology.

·         Knowledge of Cabletron/Enterasys and Cisco network equipment with the ability to configure and troubleshoot.

·         Expertise to perform functions with this SOW.

·         Experience to be able to identify problems and resolve hardware/software/network and telecommunications malfunctions.

·         Knowledge to provide hardware maintenance such as board replacement, cable switching, communications assistance, and various hardware installation and replacement issues.

·         Knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols, and Media such as TCP/IP, X.400, NFS, hardware, twisted pair, fiber, radio frequency, cabling and connectors.

·         Ability to analyze, diagnose, recommend and implement solutions for hardware, software and network and telecommunications problems.

·         Knowledge of Teklogix Radio Frequency (RF) hardware and infrastructure for minor repairs and configuration when required.
