- The Business System Analyst I will join a team of professionals responsible for development, testing, implementation, management and training of New York State DOH’s Medicaid systems applications
- Assists in evaluating the technical implications of each phase of the project in cooperation with the sponsoring agency, department or team unit
- Assists in the coordination of system planning efforts, identification and documentation of scope of system change or enhancement
- Participates in the development for technical system design specifications
- Prepares and submits required reports and other project-related documentation
- Provides information technology support for systems and subsystems used to determine eligibility for Medicaid
- Some travel within New York State required
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Must have experience with social services programs in either a developmental or operational setting; one year of experience in information technology.
- Specialized training may be substituted for experience.
· Bachelor’s degree preferred or information technology training from an accredited institution.
· The Business System Analyst I must be highly organized, self-directed, collaborative, analytical and technology proficient.
· Must have ability to be a self-starter and have good problem solving skills.
· The applicant must have a working knowledge of information technology including hardware and software applications.
· Must demonstrate highly effective customer service and communication skills
