Assembler I - Entry Level

The Automation Assembler I position's work is supervised daily or weekly with assignments that encompass a well-defined set of tasks. (Work is reviewed frequently for overall adequacy and accuracy.) They will follow established procedures, processes or policies. Develop a good knowledge of the company and may be assigned to projects for career development. The Assembler will learn the principles, practices, and processes in the function. They will develop the business knowledge required of the full job. May resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisor depending on the level and complexity.

Assembler II - Career Level

The Automation Assembler II works under general supervision on a wide range of assignments that require a substantial knowledge of the discipline or function. They will follow established procedures, processes, or policies, but is expected to use judgment in resolving issues or recommending solutions. May participate in project teams or lead portions of projects. The Assembler will have a thorough knowledge of the basic principles, practices, and processes in the applicable discipline and working knowledge of related fields. Provides resolutions from basic to moderately complex problems. Exercises judgment within procedures and practices in selecting methods and techniques for arriving at solutions.

Automation Assembler I & II Responsibilities:

Performs a wide variety of electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies.

Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in functions, such as performing wiring, component installation, kit assembly on assembly units.

Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Required Skills for this Automation Assembler I & II positions includes the following:

Assembler I - minimum of 6 months relevant experience, preferably in a clean room environment

Assembler II - Minimum of 2-5 years relevant experience, preferably in a clean room environment

Hand and power tools experience

Knowledge of mechanical drawings, schematics, etc were used to assemble product
