FUNCTION
Global, award winning, industry leader is searching for an Assistant Plant Controller at a plant that employs over 300 people. This "number two" plant finance position serves as the critical right hand to the Controller. Reporting to the Plant Controller, this position works with two clerical team members in the tactical day by day plant finance operations. If you are ready to learn what it means to truly partner with the plant operations, this may be the right position for you.
REQUIREMENTS
You should have a BA/BS degree in accounting or finance with a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing accounting experience (or similar equivalent experience within manufacturing accounting experience). Knowledge of cost accounting, standard accounting, inventory processing, journal entries and closing protocols are assumed. Mastery of advanced Excel is required. They are looking for a self-starter, who is able to handle multiple priorities, possesses good judgment and ethics and who is comfortable working with production personnel. Knowledge of the manufacturing modules in SAP is a real plus as is a CPA or CMA. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in implementing cost saving process improvements and understands that it takes excellent production staff relationships to have cost savings changes come alive.
