FUNCTION
 
My client, a major industrial mineral producer has an immediate opportunity available at their plant in beautiful Ogden, UT. This position reports to the EHS Manager. To perform this job successfully the incumbent must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily. This position will serve as a member of the Environmental Health & Safety Team and under the direction of the EHS Manager will primarily be responsible for the environmental program at the facility. The incumbent will be a self-motivated, proactive leader, and be able to effectively communicate with all site personnel, contractors, regulators, and general staff. Must be well versed in all aspects of environmental regulations, permitting and sampling, with heavy emphasis in Title V air permitting including new source review and compliance air monitoring (CAM) plans, UPDES water permitting, spill prevention control and countermeasure (SPCC) compliance, completing and submitting annual regulatory reports including TIER II, AEI, and TRI reports. Timely follow-up of incident reporting and accurate collection and tracking of required data is essential. This position will also assist the EHS Manager with behavioral based safety programs.
 
 
 
 
REQUIREMENTS
 
 
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. The minimum educational background and qualifications for this position are: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a closely related discipline and five years related environmental experience demonstrating the ability to effectively work as a member of a team in multi-functional operation. Preference will be given to individuals with extensive air quality, additional safety or industrial hygiene experience. Must have experience in interacting with regulatory agencies, preparation and submittal of regulatory reports and compliance plans, and verbal presentation to individuals and groups.
