In @ Job Search USA Questions / Feedback - Asked by rbaron - 1 answer - 1 year ago
I actually can be a candidate for a significant number of the jobs.
I have more than 10 years of experience in SAP area;
I live actually in USA and I have a L-1 visa .
I would like to know how could I find a job where a sponsorship could ask the transfer or my L-1 visa????
Hi,
Just to answer the question i would like to paraphrase from wiki for a background for the JSU community on what an L-1 visa is: "An L-1 visa is a visa document used to enter the United States for the purpose of work in L-1 status.....L-1 visas are available to employees of an international company with offices in both a home country and the United States, or which intend to open a new office in the United States while maintaining their home country interests..... The US office must be a parent company, child company, or sister company to the foreign company"

So when looking for a job with this type of visa there are two subcategories: L-1A for executives and managers, and L-1B for workers with specialized knowledge. L-1A status is valid for up to seven years; L-1B status is good for up to five years. So not sure which category you fit in.

A good reference would be this from wiki which has more information and the Top 20 L-1 Visa Users which include IBM, Intel and Microsoft
